Privacy notice under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)

This notice explains how Pier Hotel collects and processes the personal data of visitors to www.pierhotel.net and of people who contact us, request a quote, book a stay or subscribe to our newsletter. It does not cover third-party websites that may be reached through links on these pages, which are governed by their own privacy notices.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Pier Hotel, Via Le Val 4, 38010 Andalo (TN), Italy — VAT no. 02144340227 — CIN IT022005A127WLS794.

No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed, as the conditions of Article 37 GDPR do not apply.
2. What data we process
Data you provide directly. When you fill in the quote request form we collect your first and last name, email address, telephone number, preferred dates of stay, the number of adults and children with their ages, and any information you choose to add in the message field. If you subscribe to the newsletter we collect your email address. If you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp we process the data contained in your message.
Booking data. If you book a stay through the booking system on this website, the data needed for the reservation and payment are collected and processed through the platform of the provider listed in section 5. At check-in we also record the identity document details of every guest, as required by law.
Browsing data. The systems and software that run this website automatically acquire certain data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet protocols: IP addresses, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, time of the request and server response code. These data are not collected in order to be associated with identified individuals, but by their nature they could make it possible to identify users.

4. Whether providing data is mandatory
Providing the data marked as required in our forms is necessary in order to act on your request: without them we cannot prepare a quote or manage a booking. Providing data for marketing purposes is optional: you may choose not to give your consent, or withdraw it later, with no effect whatsoever on your ability to stay with us.
The data required for public security and tax purposes are mandatory by law.
5. Recipients and processors
Your data are processed by the controller’s authorised staff and may be disclosed to the parties listed below, acting as processors under Article 28 GDPR or as independent controllers for their own purposes.

Your data are not disseminated, nor sold to third parties for their own commercial purposes.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Some of the providers listed in section 5 — in particular those belonging to Google and Meta, and the newsletter service — are part of groups based in the United States and may process data outside the European Economic Area.
Such transfers take place on the basis of the safeguards set out in Chapter V GDPR: the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for providers that adhere to it, or the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, supplemented where necessary by additional measures.

7. Cookies and tracking tools
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. The banner shown on your first visit lets you choose which categories to accept; you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings available on the site.
Strictly necessary cookies. These make the site work and store your preferences, including your cookie choices. No consent is required for them.
Analytics cookies. These help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate form. Google Analytics 4 is active on this site. These cookies are only set with your consent.
Profiling and marketing cookies. These are used to show you advertising in line with your interests, including on third-party platforms. The Meta Pixel is active on this site. They are only set with your consent.
Third-party content. Some pages embed YouTube videos, social media content and the Google reCAPTCHA anti-spam service, which may set their own cookies under the privacy notices of the respective providers.
Disabling strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working. Disabling the other categories does not prevent you from reading the content.
8. Children’s data
The quote request form asks for the number and age of any children who will be staying, solely in order to prepare an accurate quote and arrange suitable accommodation. These data are provided by an adult with parental responsibility and are kept for the period stated in section 3.
This website is not intended for children under fourteen and does not knowingly collect their data directly. If you believe a child has given us data without the consent of the person holding parental responsibility, please let us know and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
At any time you have the right to obtain from the controller access to your personal data and their rectification or erasure, restriction of processing concerning you, and you have the right to object to processing and to data portability, on the terms set out in Articles 15 to 22 GDPR.
You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. For the newsletter it is enough to use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every message.
In particular, you have the right to object at any time, and without giving reasons, to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
To exercise these rights you can write to info@pierhotel.net. We will reply within one month of receiving your request, extendable by two months in particularly complex cases.
10. Complaints to the supervisory authority
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the Member State where you habitually reside or work, or where the alleged infringement took place.
Your right to bring proceedings before the courts is unaffected.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice to reflect changes in the law or in the services we offer. The version published on this page is the one in force and always shows the date it was last updated.
